Titus County Fair Junior Ambassador
The purposes of this group are to promote the livestock industry in and around Titus County
Texas; increase community support and awareness of the livestock show and sale at Titus County Fair; and advocate for agriculture in Titus County Texas. The first year, 3 seniors and 3 juniors in high school will be selected. The juniors will serve a 2-year term. After the first year, 3 new rising juniors will be selected, and any positions vacated by a senior will be filled. The maximum number of Ambassadors will be 6.
Titus County Fair Junior Ambassador Application
Requirements
- Applicants must be entering their junior or senior year of high school
- Must be Titus County residents or enrolled in a Titus County school
- Must have participated in the Titus County fair for 2 years prior to applying
- Must be eligible to participate in the Titus County Fair
- Must submit 2 letters of recommendation
- Must submit the application form
- Must complete an interview with the executive committee of the Titus County Fair
- Must agree to participate in as many of the Ambassador activities as possible, which may include but are not limited to
○ Speaking at community club meetings- Lion’s club, rotary, etc
○ Participating in radio broadcasts about the fair
○ Visiting local schools to encourage participation in the fair
- Applications and letters of recommendation are due to the Titus County Fair office by June 2. Interviews will be held after applications are submitted. The executive committee will schedule interviews with each applicant.
