Location:  Titus County Fair Livestock Pavilion

Entries are due to the Titus County Fair Office by 4:00 PM, Sept 15, 2025.  Entry fees are $25 per project.

Move In: Tuesday, Sept 23.  Must be in place by 6:00 PM.  The superintendent and livestock directors will coordinate with Ag Mechanics instructors and exhibitors to facilitate move in plans.  

Show: Thursday, 9:00 AM Livestock Pavilion, Winners announced at 7:00 PM.

Titus County Agriculture Mechanic Contest Rules

  1. Exhibitors may enter as individuals or partners (two) in the market division. Exhibitors may enter no more than 2 projects in the market division.
  2. There will be no limit on projects in the open division. Individuals and/or partnerships will be allowed.   

 

  1. Open and Market Division projects that require opening other gates to release and that do not make the sale may be removed Friday morning, Sept 26 between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM only. All remaining Ag Mechanics projects must be removed after completion of auction Saturday, September 27, 2025.
  2. Exhibitors must be present during judging and available to answer questions from the judges about the construction and/or function of the project.  Exhibitors who are not present at the time of judging will be disqualified.
  3. Judging of projects will be based on:
    1. Workmanship (30 pts)
    2. Design & Materials Used (20 pts)
    3. Practicality (20 pts)
    4. Degree of Difficulty (10 pts)
    5. General Appearance & Finish (10 pts)
    6. Presentation & Knowledge of the Project (10 pts)      

Total = 100 points

 

  1. The Ag Mechanics Show will consist of two divisions:
    1. Market Division - There will be up to 5 classes in the market division.  Sale of Ag Mechanics projects will follow the General Livestock Rules.   The top two entries in each class will be sold.  (Total of ten projects will be sold in auction, next 10 (by score) will be eligible for silent auction.  
      1. Outdoor Furniture (picnic tables, lawn chairs, patio planters, etc.)
      2. Indoor Furniture/Crafts (lamps, desks, tables, etc.)
      3. Farm Equipment (fencing equipment, tractor equipment, etc.)
      4. Trailers (bumper pull, gooseneck, and anything with axle)
      5. Recreational Equipment (smokers, deer stands, deer feeders, etc.)
    2. Open Division - There will be 3 classes.  Entries in this division will not be sold.
    3. Trailers
    4. Non-Trailers
    5. Tractor

 

  1. There will be a Champion and Reserve Champion Project for each of the market and open divisions.  Projects in different divisions will not compete against each other.
  2. All general Titus County Rules must be followed as outlined in the fair catalog.
  3. Prefabricated or Kit Projects will not be permitted.
  4. Titus County Fair will not be responsible for projects in case of loss or damage.
  5. Any deviation from these rules will require action from the Livestock Show Committee.
  6. Students are required to arrange for delivery of projects to buyers.
  7. New for 2025- Exhibitors of the Open Division Grand Champion and Reserve Champion will not receive buckles.  There will be other prizes for these winners.
  8. Exhibitors must follow the Titus County Fair Junior Market Show general rules.
