2023 Titus County Fair

Market Lamb Rules

 

1. Tag-in dates and place: Tag-in lambs at the Livestock Pavilion from 8:00 - 9:00 a.m., Saturday, June 3, 2023. (If an exhibitor misses the original tag-in date, they will have until Sunday, June 4, 2023, at 1:00 p.m. to contact the show superintendent. Exhibitors will have an opportunity for late tag-in but will be charged an additional $25.)

2. Ewe or wether lambs may be shown in the market show.

3. The top 80% up to 20 lambs will be sold in the premium auction.

4. The judge will pick the sale order. 

5. Lambs must be under the exhibitor's control at all times.

6. All lambs are to be on the fairgrounds by 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday September 26th, 2023. Lambs will be weighted in at the fair grounds on Tuesday afternoon, September 26, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.

7. Lambs will be divided into weight classes for the show.

8. Stall spaces will be assigned by the show superintendent prior to arrival.

9. All lambs will be slick shorn for the show. No wool over 1/4 of an inch will be allowed and if so the exhibitor will have until 11:59 p.m. the day before the show to fix or will be subject to disqualification.

10.  If animals are given back to the exhibitor in the auction, that exhibitor is responsible for the removal of that animal from the fair grounds after the auction.

11.  Exhibitor must follow the Titus County Fair Junior Market Show general rules.
